Hi there
I need to make a decision regarding leasing one of the above two vehicles, and I need to decide based on relevant ongoing costs...How do I find out the fuel rating on them? Which is more economical?

The Hyundai i30 wagon claimed fuel economy in a combined cycle for the 1.6L petrol motor is 6.7L/100km (manual) and 6.9L/100km (auto) while the diesel version is claimed at 5.6L/100km (auto) and 4.5L/100km (manual).

The Suzuki Swift combined fuel economy is claimed at 4.2L/100km for the 1.3L diesel (manual), 6.5L/100km for the 1.6L Sport petrol (manual) although it needs to run on 95 octane fuel. The 1.4L petrol motor is rated at 5.5L/100km (manual) and 6.6L/100km (auto).

These two vehicles are very different in size and price. The Suzuki Swift is a great car but there's limited boot space whereas the Hyundai i30 is a wagon with a lot more loading space in the rear.
