The Holden Viva is a Korean-built vehicle from General Motors Daewoo plant. The core chassis and body structure is based on a Daewoo Lacetti that sold in small numbers in New Zealand several years ago (2003).

From our experience the Viva's overall chassis design and quality finish is not as cutting edge as its competitors.

We have heard sticking engine valves is an issue also and to remedy would be a relatively expensive job if the car is out of new car warranty.

It's a good sized and reasonably practical vehicle which retails for an attractive price, but do the comparisons with its competitors in the small class field before you commit is our best advice.
