I'm looking for a car with bigger luggage space than a normal sedan but not as big as station wagon. I had a look around and liked the shape and size of Toyota Caldina.

I would like to know your expert opinion about Caldina 1.8L. I had a look around and Caldina from 2005-2006 are around 13K. Is that a reasonable price to pay for Caldina?

Are there any other cars which I should consider?

I read about D4 engine on this forum so would be avoiding 2.0L engine, I hope 1.8L engine is not that bad for performance.

The Toyota Caldina has a good reputation (non-D4 models) and is a wagon. The 1.8L engine will move you around well enough but you should take one for a test drive to see whether it meets your needs. Pricing seems fair but you should look for a vehicle with as low a mileage as possible and with a good service history.

Seeing that you like the Caldina (wagon) you should also consider the Mazda 6/ Atenza wagon or sedan models which have a good reputation. The Toyota Altezza might also be a good option to consider - you might like the look.
