We are looking for a wagon or small 7 seater in the $10,000 range. Is there any benefit of the toyota wish over the honda stream? We have a small child so tether points for the car seat is important (where they attach to not take up the whole boot space). Thinking around 1800cc, enough power to drive over the hill between Hamilton and Raglan but not too thirsty... Help??

The Toyota Wish, Mazda Premacy or the Honda Stream (1.6L - 2.0L engines) are good vehicles to consider. But stay away from models fitted with a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) transmission. Not all models will have tether points either so you will need to check the specific vehicle for this feature. The middle seat in the second row normally has a lap strap seat belt as well.
