I am in the process of buying the above car , With 31000kms import From Wiger Subaru.
Can you tell me , if these are good cars?, I know they can be heavy on the gas.
This car is the latest face lift model , But thought the new 3.6 face lift model diding come out till 2010

You are quite right about these being thirsty, but we haven't heard of any particular issues with them otherwise. They were launched in 2009.
