Melanie~

Hello, I want to buy a car and there are two options to choose. One is Nissan Tiida 2007, the other one is Toyota Corolla 2007. However, they are both CVT transmission. Apparently, the cars with CVT transmission are not that reliable. Just wondering if these cars' CVT technology would be better since they were produced relatively current. Do you think it is okay to purchase one of these cars?

Looking forward your reply. Thank you!

These cars must both be imports as NZ New Corollas and Tiidas from this era both had conventional automatic transmissions. I presume the Corolla is a 1.5 litre model too?
Basically, we'd prefer the conventional transmissions in either of these cars. If you go for a NZ New version of either, they will have conventional 4 speed automatic transmssions, which would be our preference.
