Hi there

I'm looking at buying a small manual 4wd. Iv been looking at Impreza's and carib's but have also found a Pulsar SRV 1997 manual with low K's. Do you guys have any preferences over these 3 cars or recommend any other small 4wd's? Looking to spend around $4-6K.

Thanks for your help!

The Nissan Pulsar and Toyota Caldina will be good choices to consider. Try avoiding the direct injection motors on the Toyota as they were known to be problematic. An AWD vehicle will cost more to maintain than a 2wd version as it has extra components and it will use slightly more fuel. In this price range you might find it difficult to buy a low mileage vehicle but you should try avoiding the high mileage cars if you can. Also look for a car with a good service and repair history.
