Thank you for giving such great advice last time I've post a question with regards to the search for my new car. I'm now in the process of upgrading my wife's car and we been looking at a brand new Peugeot 207 1.6L as well as other super minis. As the 207 is on a runout, we know we can get a pretty good deal, but not sure whether it is a good buy as there has been some horror stories about the 206. How is the 207 in general in term of reliability and performance? Anything that we should be aware of? Is it a wise choice to buy the 207 or should we just consider something else. My wife currently drives a 2006 suzuki swift, she likes it but doesn't really want to upgrade to the lastest one as they are really similar and she wants something different. Thank you

You should consider upgrading to the Suzuki Swift Sport, it's great fun. The Peugeot 207 is a good little car. We are not aware of any known problems and the 1.6L engine works well in the small body. The 207 is likely to use more fuel than the Swift though. You should keep in mind that the Euro's are normally slightly more costly to maintain. The introduction of the 208, as a replacement to the 207, will have an influence on the resale value when it comes time to sell.

The 207 is known to have overheating problems - expansion tanks splitting usually. Personally I would stick with the swift! Cheaper to run and maintain
