Hi,
I am looking to buy a SUV. My budget is around 8-9K. I have a small car for my day to day use, and I don't epxect to drive the car for more than 15kms/day and very rarely a 200km drive.

some of the models I am considering are :
Isuzu Wizard 2000 - petrol 3.2L, 80K
Mitsubishi Pajero io - petrol 2L, 97K
Ford Escape XLT 2000 - petrol 3L 170K
Mazda Tribute 2001 - petrol 3L 143K

All the above are priced below $10K
From a reliability and maintainace perspective which of the above would you recommend ?
Any other model/make I should consider ?

The Mitsubishi IO 2.0L is a great vehicle but I would try avoid the direct injection engines. They are known to be costly to repair when problems occur. I would try stay away from the bigger 3.0L engines you have mentioned as they will be costly to run and maintain. You should rather consider the Toyota Rav4, Diahatsu Terios, Suzuki Grand Vitara or Jimny and the 2.5L Nissan X-Trail.
