I am recently widowed and need to sell my late husbands vehicle. I cannot find original papers. Do the ownership/ registration papers suffice?

Yes that will be fine. These are the only papers that are relevant, and even then, it's not a big issue these days if you don't even have them, as the new owner will be issued with new papers.
