Can you please give me some info on Mazda Tribute 2001, circa 140,000km.

Am looking at purchasing this type vehicle. I'd like to know detail like reliability, how expensive it will be to repair and service, plus any other detail you can give me. Looking at trading my very reliable cost effective fuel efficient Toyota Corolla station wagon 2001 with 212,000km

Thank you.

The Mazda Tribute of this era has a fairly sound reputation for reliability. At 140,000km, the mileage is quite reasonable for an 11 year old vehicle - only around 12,700km per year. Like any vehicle, if the service history is sound with regular service and maintenance it should give good service in the future providing you continue to maintain it well.
Obviously, it's an entirely different proposition to your Corolla, but built for a different purpose. You will find the Tribute a little more expensive to service and run, but if you have a need for this type of vehicle, that's unavoidable.
