Hi Jack
I'm looking at buying one of these (117,500kms) although the fact it's a Singapore import is putting me off. I understand an AA check will not pick up any wiring problems (associated with the humity in Singapore) but is there any kind of mechanical check available to consumers that actually would pick up on things like this?
Thank You
Rochelle

Unfortunately, the type of deterioration that is caused by high temperature and humidity that has been associated with used vehicles imported from Singapore is generally not detectable until failure occurs. Electronic modules, wiring connectors and insulation are the main things that fail, but they are the type of components that can just suddenly break down without warning.
An inspection can only test and see what is wrong on the day. No-one can foresee what might fail tomorrow.
