Hi there,
I am looking to buy a Japanese car with lower km on it. I have narrowed it down between a Nissan BLUEBIRD SYLPHY 2005 (1800cc) costing me around $8,800 and perhaps a Toyota Premio/Corolla/Allion 2002 to 2004 year. All 1800cc's. I may end up paying $12,000 for Toyota which is $3,000 more than Nissan. I know Toyota's are more reliable. Is it in this day and age? Which cars are safer? Can you please provide an honest opinion. It would be highly appreciated.

An honest opinion would be to go for the Toyota if it has the 1.8 litre engine.

Assume nothing however and treat every car on its individual merits.
