I have only ever owned a manual car .. I am going to buy a new Swift - having trobule deciding on which model & if auto or manual. I 1st test drove the auto LTD and it was nice .. but people suggesting get a manual - cos that is what I currently drive , also suggest RS model as has blue tooth kit & keyless ingition (not sure why better) ... any advice of what has best resale value if had to , & on if a manual best if use to driving manual etc .Advice please

The transmission of choice for most motorists is an automatic particularly for those living in built up area where constant stop/starting can become very frustrating with a manual.

You have to be comfortable with whatever you decide but I would suggest a longer road test in an auto may help convince you one way or the other.

The manual will no doubt perform slightly better and the overall fuel consumption could be marginally improved in comparison to the automatic.

Because the Swift is such a popular car I don’t believe resale values will be an issue whatever model you choose.
