Hi, I'm trying to find a replacement for my Mitsui Legnum VR4, manual. I like being able to drive my car, however was considering the move to a auto. I'm finding that most of the vehicles I drive have a comparatively huge lag in their response times. I ideally only wanted to spend up to $30k, but would consider going higher to replace with something that had better handling and responsivenes.

$30K plus will buy you a lot of motorcar. It would be interesting to know just what vehicles you have actually driven.

I’m thinking a Subaru Impreza may appeal.

The lag you are experiencing sounds like you are driving vehicles fitted with a turbo although the later model vehicles don’t really suffer too much in this regard.

Be careful, 30K can get you a very good car however, it can also buy you a lot of potential problems.
