I have just put a deposit on a used car Nissan Tiida Latio 2005 50,000km CVT transmission and have an AA check booked. The sale includes 3 month warranty or 5000km. Is this car likely to have a problem and would it be necessary or prudent to ask for an extended warranty?
You need to remind the Dealer you are actually covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act which has not official finish time so their 3 month/5,000km warranty is not all that it seems.
Extended warranty is a good option however, as unforeseen mechanical failures can occur at any time and it is fair to say the GCA does become less effective over time.
Thanks, your advice is appreciated
