I am looking at purchasing a used car and am having trouble deciding between the following. I did really only want to spend between $10 and $13 thousand.

2008 Hyundai Getz 1.6 Auto done 33000 k's $14990
2007 Diahatsu Sirion 1.3 Auto done 62000 k's $13990
2006 Toyota Yaris 1500 Auto done 39000 k's $14500
2004 Toyota Vitz RS 1500 Auto done 61000k's $10500

Most of my driving is around town however once or twice a year I do travel long distance in excess of 8 hour trips each way so would like something that will cope will with open road, hills as well.

I would appreciate your view on which one maybe the better purchase please.

Of the cars listed, we suggest you look closely at the Hyundai Getz based on the long distance travel you intend doing.

The Getz has the bigger engine (and lower km's) and may have Electronic Stability Control which is a great peace of safety equipment to have when driving on open roads.

The Yaris is another good choice.

Anything with a 1.3 litre engine may struggle power wise depending on the terrain and weight carried.
