What option is the best for selling your vehicle- trade me, car yard or auction.

Often a trade-in is the most simple and easiest way. No hassles, and no worries; do the deal and walk away.

Most people believe their cars are worth more than other people are prepared to pay, so trying to sell on trademe etc can be frustrating and you can often end up no better or worse off.

Auctions are OK, no real pressure apart from setting a realistic reserve price. You have to pay commission out of what the car sells for of course.

Some people like the challenge, while others hate selling privately.
