I have a 1997 Honda Prelude, high Km's, well maintained mechanically but rough body, especially the bonnet which has very bad peeling paint.
I want to sell or trade it. Should I get the bonnet paint fixed first?
No, save your money, it will be much more expensive than you imagine to do the repaint properly while a cheap repair will look exactly that and add no extra value.
Best potential buyers see the car in its original condition rather than giving the impression you are trying to cover something up.
