Hi Jack,
I was surprised to hear that some 4WDs can't move if only one wheel has traction, they need at least two. Is this true? I think I'd be really annoyed after spending extra on a crossover that couldn't get me up a slippery boat ramp unless more than one wheel had a grippy section under it.

There are so many 4WD systems out there I wouldnt even know where to start to try and explain them all in this forum.

If its gaining traction on a boat ramp that concerns you, it may be easier if you told me what size boat you have and the type of vehicle you were thinking about to tow it.
