What paperwork should you get from a dealer when purchasing?

I paid a deposit and walked away having signed nothing and only the eftpos receipts in my wallet. The only thing *I* have in writing is an email from the business manager telling me how to pay the balance and trying to upsell a bunch of products.

I'm getting an AA inspection done before I settle but it seems weird I have no real receipt or sale and purchase agreement. I tried to get them to address the question of a written document even on settlement when I contacted them to arrange the best time for the inspection but it was left unaddressed - I didn't know how to push when I don't know what I should have

Hi you should really receive a proper receipt which shows the balance owing to complete the purchase, it seems a bit unprofessional if you do go ahead make sure you receive a sales and purchase agreement, and inspect and sign the CIN card.
