Hi there,
I'm looking at buying a 2012 Audi Q3 s-line from Auckland which is having an AA pre-purchase inspection. I live out of town. The dealer has recommended Pinnacle cover (First class insurance cover that combines the best traditional features of mechanical breakdown insurance with Provident’s superior levels of cover and claimability) for 3 years at a cost of $1895 with a $400 excess. Your thoughts and advice on whether this is worth it?
Many thanks
Hi there,
While we can't tell you to get it or not, MBI is just like any other insurance but this one is against risk of mechanical breakdown/ premature failure of a covered component. And like any insurance you may never need it, but it's there just incase. Some vehicles can be more prone to risk- a European vehicle of 10 years old is one I would put in the more at risk column, while a Japanese manufactured vehicle could be a bit less of a risk.
