Hi there. I want to purchase a brand new car. I drive 15,000km a year, I don't have kids so don't need a minivan and I like quirky cars (I drive a citroen c4 cactus now). I want five star safety and good fuel economy. 90% of my driving is on the Wellington motorway so good visibility is key. And I like having a nice big boot for trips to bunnings in the weekend. My budget is up to $45k. There are so many options I don't know where to start. Any suggestions?

Hi there,
I agree, there is a lot of choice.
I think its best to start with vehicle type (SUV, hatch, Crossover etc)
Then think about brand, Euro vs Japanese vs Korean etc.
Vehicle size, luggage space, safety and assist features, do you want adaptive cruise control, does it have 5-star ANCAP?.
Then see if you can test drive, sit in and see how seat adjusts and the vision you get from the mirrors and windows.
