Thinking of getting a new SUV car. Been looking at MG ZS ($23k) & Haval Jolion ($26k). Can I get an opinion on these two cars and which one might be the better option? Like their pros and cons would be very helpful.
Hi there,
We've not yet tested the MG ZS or Jolion- but we have reviewed the latest MG ZS T and ZS EV. https://www.aa.co.nz/cars/car-reviews
in 2018 Carsguide in Australia has conducted a comparison and the Haval was half a star on top.
https://www.carsguide.com.au/haval/jolion/vs/mg-zs
The MG ZS is effectively a 2019 model and the Jolion 2020 even though we've only just received the Jolion.
The Australian carsguide comparison has a 1.0litre turbo engine on the MG and here in NZ I think its 1.5 litre non-turbo but the fuel economy seems to be the same. Would there be much difference between these in terms of driving quality?
It the carsguide review it mentioned that the driving experience was pretty bad for the MG.
Also, would there be any other cars you could recommend within this price range for an SUV?
Hi there,
The Suzuki Vitara base model would edge into the similar price category, as with the smaller Kia Stonic.
