Hi, I am looking to buy a new car as my current one is just too inefficient (approx. 8L/100km). I do a lot of driving both around town and to the outer parts of Auckland for work. I also really enjoy driving and spend a lot of time doing it so I would like one that has a reasonable amount of power and can manage occasional long-distance trips, as well as being fuel efficient. Looking at second-hand vehicles from around 2010-2015. Do you have any suggestions for a good make/model which might suit? Thank you!

With your criteria in mind, I think maybe you could consider a hybrid vehicle?
Toyota have a few Prius options you might want to try. The Prius C/Aqua is a small 1500cc hatch hybrid, while the standard Prius is 1800cc hybrid.
