Hi,
We are looking to buy a new family-sized SUV, that being said it doesn't have to be a 7 seater. We also plan to buy a caravan at some point in the future and so we are pre-planning for that. I understand that a diesel SUV would be a better option for towing however we would rather have a petrol vehicle. Are there any petrol SUV's that would be okay for towing a caravan? We are looking at a maximum 23k price range. Appreciate the advice.

You may want to look into something with a 6-cylinder engine like the Toyota Highlander, 2.4ltr 4-cylinder or 3.0 V6 Mitsubishi Outlander, or a 2.5ltr Mazda CX5 which might have enough tow capability.
