Hi There, I'm looking for a small van to use as an everyday vehicle + weekend camper. Any advice on the options I've shortlisted or others you know of would be greatly appreciated. My main concern is these smaller vans all seem to have very small wheels and low cc engines, so I'm not sure how great they'd be for longer trips.

- Nissan NV200
- Volkswagen Caddy

These vehicles are all pretty reliable and size wise could also be very similar to the smaller people movers that often double as the same. Just look at the common backpacker/ freedom camping vehicles. The vehicles you mentioned are created more as small commercial vehicles and so would not be the most comfortable to travel in and could have a sparse interior.
I would say that with the European small engines are generally coupled with a turbo to give the power of a larger engine when needed and the fuel efficiency of small when not.
