I have just sold my van and went to change ownership papers via the internet but currently i have no licence due to de-merit points, therefore i could not enter my licence number on the change of ownership forms. How do i find out what my licence number is or is there another way to do the change of ownership?

You will need to go direct to a NZTA agent such as a Vehicle Testing Station, AA centre or Post Office.

Without your license (I assume you don’t even have a temporary license) you need to produce some form of official photo identification to complete the change of ownership.

A passport is the obvious documentation to present.
