I have a question on buying a used BMW 325i 2007 Convertible model.
Features and details of the model:
2,497cc, Petrol, Axles: 2, Odometer Reading: 176000, 6 speed auto 2.5i.

Can you advise me on the below,
1. any known issues for this model?
2. Also if I buy this car, is there service centres available in Auckland for servicing this model regularly
3. Does all the spare parts of this car still widely available in NewZealand.
4. I heard generally spare parts and servicing cost of a bmw is very expensive when compared to other make cars like toyota or Honda. My question is because I want to understand if the maintenance is cost is really high which I should be aware of.
5. Any other questions/issues I should ask before buying this vehicle?

Thanks
Pooja

Hi there,
A 13 year old European car that has 176k on the clock, has definitely had its most trouble free life. You may need to look at different owners forums to see what other owners encounter as its not a car we hear any comments of through our department. Aging European cars can require more frequent work to maintain their electrics and cooling systems due to the technical nature of the vehicles. AA workshops are general service and repair centres and can take care of your vehicle, or you can use European specialist workshops which can offer a bit more specialist repairs, or there are BMW dealer workshops that will give factory services. So there are lots of options which also vary in cost, my recommendation is to have the vehicle inspected to make sure there are no issues to start with and then maybe get a good service to see what needs replacing and when and work your way from there. https://www.aa.co.nz/cars/buying-a-car/car-buying-guide/pre-purchase-vehicle-inspections/
