Hi
I’m looking at replacing my 19 year old Nissan Avenir. A Toyota Corolla station wagon or a Hyundai i30 have been suggested to me as possibilities. Any ideas on the comparative reliability of these vehicles, availability and costs of spare parts and costs of repairs would be appreciated.
Hi there,
We have received no complaints about either vehicle and they are known as a common vehicle and so servicing and parts costs should not be over priced or hard to get and costs would also depend on the repairer used.
Thanks for that.
Further question. Are hybrids (not the plug-in types) more expensive to service and would a specialist garage be needed for regular servicing? As I would be looking at a car from around 2012, 2013 I’m wondering how many years you would get out of a battery.
Not sure on battery life as this can change with every vehicle, but there is not really anything extra that is serviceable on a hybrid vs a sole ICE vehicle so any workshop can service one.
