Hi there,
I am looking at buying a 2016 Nissan Caravan NV350, petrol, 2L, with 40,000Km.
Before I commit I would like to ask you a few questions.
1. The car was imported 3 months after it was registered in Japan, with 400KM on the odometer. Could this mean that there is something here that we need to be aware of? It has now been used on NZ roads for 2 years as an electrician's van.
2. Have you come across this model before and what do you think of it?
3. The price for the van is $21,000. Do you think that this is a good deal for the van given its description?
4. Are there any other similar models that you would recommend? The van will be mainly be used locally, and for some long distance Summer road trips.
Any other advice or tips would be greatly appreciated :-)
Thanks in advance,
Nico

Hi there,
We don't have much to do with vans or commercial vehicles, but no-one has complained about the NV series vans to us which is a good thing. I think the fact it's been here 2 years should indicate that servicing has been taken care of, but yes it would seem strange that it was sent here as such a new low mileage vehicle. I would be checking that it wasn't imported as a stat write-off, either ask the question or get a History check that could tell you this.
