Hi, what are the pros & cons petrol v diesel.
I ask this as I am considering buying a caravan, kerb weight 1400kg.
allowing 300kg -400kg for water food & clothing etc, i would be looking at approx 1800kg.
I also need to upgrade my car (BMW 328i). What would be the minimum vehicle that I would require.

As they age, a diesel vehicle might start cost a bit if the fuel system requires over hauling. But the plus side is that they can often travel longer distances on a tank of diesel fuel, are quite fuel efficient, and have higher torque ability to pull the towed load up hills or up a boat ramp.
