Hi there

Is it possible to negotiate with dealers (Mazda) when it comes to purchasing new vehices?

If so, what sort of deal can you expect and do you have any tips for securing the best deal?

Thanks!

Hi there,
It would depend on the company and their policy as to if you are able to negotiate the purchase price or add any extras in as part of the sale at no extra cost. There is noting to indicate what is "expected" as every vehicle and seller can be unique. We have some tips on our blog page: https://www.aa.co.nz/cars/motoring-blog/5-tips-when-buying-from-a-dealership/

Yes you can negotiate. I've done so and highly recommended it. It would be foolish to pay retail.
Shop around, if you know what car /specification you want, pitch one dealer against another. Compare liked for like. Get quotes for the car, accessories & all on road costs as a lump sum amount. If you're going with finance, you can negotiate that too.

Negotiating can be tough / confronting but what have you got to lose? All the best.
