Hi there. I am wanting to buy my first car and really like the Toyota ist.
Can you please tell me if this car has a cam belt or chain?
I have heard that CVT transmission isn't good. Do ist's have CVT?
Do you think that lower km's or the newer year is more important? I will not be driving long distance just around and about:)

The Ist 1.5 and 1.3 1NZFE and 2NZFE engines are showing as chain driven engines. Some have CVT and some don't so you will need to check with the seller for any car you look at. We've not heard any bad things about the CVT's used in Toyotas. We think it's best to buy the newest safest vehicle your budget allows.
