Am looking for some advice on buying a new car. I am looking for a sedan or a mini/compact SUV. We are a family of 3 adults. Usage is some long drives but otherwise regular city usage. I would prefer a Japanese model and am looking for some recommendations or options before I go to a Dealer and do a trade-in. I currently own a Mitsubishi Dion but that is too large for such a small family. Looking for some help/guidance?

Some cars that come to mind would be Mazda Axela sedan or hatch, Toyota Mark X, Nissan Dualis, or Hyundai ix35(NZ new) Mitsubishi ASX also NZ new.
