I am looking forward to purchasing a new car and I have narrowed down my options to 2004 Mazda axela 1.5L (clocked 18000kms), 2006 Mazda axela 1.5l NZ new import (clocked 108000kms) and 2008 Mazda Verisa (clocked 88000kms). I would like to learn more about the two models in terms of performance and reliability. I will be it as my daily driver and for long distance travels. I am hoping to keep the car for close to 3 years.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
As the vehicle s you are looking are used Japanese domestic imports, there is very little information available. They could all have very similar running gear and components to each other and are generally proven to be reliable based on the NZ new variants. The UCSR safety ratings system will be your guide to buying a vehicle that is a safe pick.https://rightcar.govt.nz/ucsr.html?group=Small We would recommend the newest car within your budget, over older with low km's as this gives a greater potential for better safety features.
As with any imported vehicle, servicing is an unknown and the vehicles can have a bit of rust underneath, so an inspection is recommended before purchase.
