Im looking at a 2000 toyota platz automatic 1500cc for my daughter and seller is unable to tell me if its cam belt or chain. Has done 119000 km so if its belt it needs to be changed. Do you know please and is there some way of telling if cars are belt or chain? Thank you.

You might need a physical inspection to confirm, but what I can see this car should have a 1NZFE 1.5L engine which is chain driven.
