Hi, Can you tell from a car's gearbox lettering/numbering if it is CVT or not? I don't want to buy CVT and was told a 1, 2 is non-CVT whilst a S L is CVT but all the Verisa's I've seen have had S L and I thought 2004/2005 Verisa's were non CVT? are the non CVT Tiida's good cars? I've viewed a few and they've all had dark staining (like a leak) in the same place (above where the transmission fluid dipstick checker) is , thank you

Hi there,
We have found with Japanese imports, vehicle specs are very hard to come by and there is much variation in models, it is hard to know what vehicle has or hasn't got a cvt without physically checking or consulting the vehicle manufacturer. We've not received any complaints about any non-cvt Tiidas.
