I am looking into buying a 2003 New Zealand new Ford Focus 1.6. It has done 163,000 kms and it’s in excellent condition. They are wanting $3000 for it what can you tell me about this car.

Hi there,
For a 16 year old car, the km's amount is pretty good. Generally speaking, a car of this age has potentially had its most useful life and could require repairs with every wof and service in order to keep it going. This would depend on what has been replaced and when with regards to fluids, cambelt, waterpump. Does the A/C still operate or will it need a re-gas to make it cold again? it might be best to have the vehicle inspected before purchase to inform you of potential work needed in the future.
