I bought my car from a family member a few years ago and I'm now looking to sell the vehicle. Is there a way to confirm that I completed the process accurately and am the current vehicle owner in order to sell it?
Also, can you advise what information should be included on a sales receipt for a private sale please?

Hi there,
If you receive registration renewal notices then your name is recorded as the registered keeper of the vehicle, ownership proof is by way of purchase receipt/ money transaction. A receipt should include that the sale is private and the vehicle is sold as is where is, include the wof and rego expiry dates, a statement worded like "the purchaser is satisfied with the condition of the vehicle on the day or purchase" and the agreed price.
