We are looking for cheaper 4x4 and have come across an 1998 isuzu wizard 3l td with only 117000kms on the clock which is lowest we have come across in our price range of under 6ish grand surf terrano etc all 250000+ kms etc was very keen on the wizard very tidy n looks well looked after and looks like it hasn't had much 4x4 use was real keen untill started reading reviews online of them 98 - 02 seem to have bad review but then I read some that say they haven't had a problem what's your guys take etc just that seems low kms etc for what else is out there or is this a vehicle to stay away from any info or help would be much appreciated cheers

When looking at a 20 year old vehicle, time-wise it's had a lot of its useful life and would most likely need on-going maintenance in order to keep it passing 6 monthly wofs. Some vehicles are more prone to issue than others, it would be a case of making sure the engine, turbo, and cooling systems are in good condition and ask what maintenance items have been changed or any history of cylinder head replacement/ cooling systems issues.
