Purchased an imported 2014 Honda fit hybrid, it has a mix of english and Japanese language on the stereo and Japanese on the dash display. Queried Honda dealership & reply was "Japanese imported vehicles are built for the Japanese market - there is no way to update to English, this is also the same with imported Navigation systems".
Not bothered by nav system but would be nice if stereo was purely english as well as dash - can it in-fact be updated?

In some cases if there is an equivalent vehicle that is NZ new, there may be opportunity to change parts for English units, or retrofit an aftermarket complete unit. However if the unit is integrated into the dash system, replacement is most likely not an option. You might have to ask a system installer like Rapid Radio if replacement is possible.
