Hi,

In order to reduce the cost of travel, I have been exploring the Hybrid market. I did explore the Nissan Leaf but find the range per charge limiting for my requirements.

During the search, I chanced upon the Honda CRZ and hence I seek your opinion especially about its battery life and maintenance costs which includes battery replacement. Also, I understand the 2010 batteries are not the latest Lithium Ion batteries. I do not consider them to be a problem unless they indeed are for some technical reasons which I may not be aware of.

What is your opinion about this car, and would you recommend any alternate cars in the 10-15 k price range which are fuel efficient not because of native petrol engines, but due to newer technology that is environment-friendly as well?

Kindly advise.

Regards,
Prasanth

Hi there, not a lot has been said about the Honda hybrids (Insight/CRZ) but what I have read is that they are not that great in comparison to a Toyota. I think Toyota and Lexus make the best value used Hybrids at the moment.
