Hi there
After 20 + years driving a toyota carib i'm looking at replacing with a toyota corolla fielder. Am told the transmission is not CVT; am getting an AA pre purchase inspection. What can you tell me/advise about the transmission please. Mostly will be used for round town driving. Anything else i need to be thinking about in addition to this? Thank you
Thanks

Hi there,
From what I can see the Toyota Corolla Fielder does have a CVT (1-speed) transmission. I'm not aware of any problems in particular they are prone to, and they're known as are a pretty good, reliable choice of vehicle. The inspection should give a good insight into the overall vehicle condition which will help your decision.
