It is recommended that an oil change be made every 10000KM or every 12 months on my Nissan Bluebird.
This car only does about 5000Km a year. Is it necessary to change the oil every 12 months?
Is there a brand of oil which would last longer than 12 months before changing?

Servicing recommendations are usually 10,000km or every 12 months whichever comes first. Oil is only a small part of servicing a vehicle, so every 12 months to have someone look over the vehicle, tyres, coolant, battery etc is recommended.
