I'm currently driving a 2.4L 06 Mondeo wagon but am looking for something more economical without losing too much load capacity. I've been eyeing up the 1.5 Nissan wingroad, Toyota Fielders 04-08ish, and 07/08 Golf 1.4 TSI.

Any pros and cons or recommendations would be much appreciated

I would pick the Fielder its a good all-rounder and has reasonable performance, the Wingroad would be my next choice but it may be a bit under powered dependent on the weight carried.

The golf would have good comfort but their service bills can increase as the vehicle became older.

Thank you Ian, any thoughts on the Newer CVT fielder vs the older 4 speed Auto? Would still be looking at the 1.5 fielder, power wise would it be on par with the Nissan?
