Hi, I am looking to buy 2010 toyota wish and has done vtnz inspection. They have done vacuum test and its results are as below.

Idle condition reading 30 inch hg
Idle fluctuation 0 inch hg
Snap test fluctuation 0 inch hg

Idle condition and snap test fluctuation are not in the idle range. So what could be wrong with engine? And is there any other way to asses engine using scan tool? Please help. Thanks

Hi there,
These readings may not necessarily indicate that there is actually a fault. The VTNZ who tested it should explain what the readings mean, and any faults predicted.
A vehicle should have vacuum at idle and a quick snap to full throttle should result in a reading of zero as there will be no vacuum at WOT wide open throttle.
