I am about to buy a car from a Toyota dealer. They say it has been checked over by Toyota NZ and "the AA is involved" also it has a warranty that covers any mechanical issues that could pop up. Do I need to get a preinspection check?
Hi there,
If the vehicle is imported by Toyota, then yes the AA entry certifies (wof) their cars.
Nothing really takes the place of a pre-purchase inspection, but Toyota Signature vehicles seem to get a full going over.
It is still up to you if you decide to have an inspection or if you are fully satisfied with the vehicle condition enough to make an informed buying decision.
