Would a 2015 2L manual Toyota Hiace van tow a 17ft single axle caravan with a MTPLM 1399kg

Hi there,
Our specs show a 2015 2.7 manual Hiace Van as having a max braked towing capacity of 1,400kg. So no I would not recommend using a van to tow this kind of weight as they are often quite light in the back. It would be more likely that an SUV would be a good option.
