Hi there I am looking at buying a 4wd car or suv. Im wanting to know what would be the most fuel efficient to buy. I usually drive around 30-40km daily on road for work but would like to be able to go off rd from time to time for getting onto our block of land, camping , tramping and general exploring & hunting trips. So long as i can fold down seats to sleep in im open to stationwagon or suv types. Hope to spend less than15k depending on what I can get for my Nissan Navara.

Have you thought about a Subaru Forester, Outback, Toyota Rav4, or Suzuki Grand Vitara?
These may fit your description rather well. It might be a little bit harder to find a modern Diesel SUV within this price range.

Thanks,Yes iv been looking at Rav 4s and Subarus but was told by a couple of people they use alot more gas as they are constantly running 2 difs... would you agree?

They do use more fuel, but are a very good vehicle, the positives usually out way the fuel costs.
